| Trail / Event
Description: A flat, mostly sidewalk trail along the beach of
this small community, with an additional stretch of the "Henry Hudson
Rails-to-Trails" in Keyport. Trail History: This Bayside community
features many older residences and mansions dating back to the early
1880's. The trail is mostly on sidewalks and the rails-to-trails path. You
will also stroll along the waterfront and, if the day is clear, you will
be able to view lower Manhattan, the Verrazano Bridge and most likely many
sailboats cruising the waters. |

| Directions:
From the WEST ( PA/DE/MD) take I-95 North to the New Jersey Turnpike - Exit 7A . Take I-195 EAST to the Garden State Parkway. North on the GSP to EXIT 117. ***Follow Route 36 EAST. Just before the first traffic light (by the Shrewsbury State Bank) TURN RIGHT and then immediately LEFT ( you are U-turning around the bank). You are now on Broad St. Cross Rt. 36 and follow Broad St. for 2 traffic lights. to Front St. Turn LEFT onto Front St. After the shops on the right you will see the Keyport Post Office. Turn RIGHT at the first street which is American Legion Drive. Pull into the Municipal Parking Lot on the left. The start point is at the "Gazebo" near the street. (Additional reference is "Ye Cottage Inn" #149 West Front St.) From the NORTH/SOUTH: Take the Garden State Parkway
to Exit 117 (Not 117 A) Follow directions as above ***
