Description: This trail visits
Monmouth University with the 130 room mansion used as the home of Daddy
Warbucks in the movie, Annie. The walk winds through the seaside towns of
Deal and Elberon with their unique homes. The spot where President
Garfield died is the checkpoint. No restrooms at the start but check
neighboring businesses or walk to the boardwalk during the season. Pets
allowed in outdoor areas. |

Fees: There is no special award for this
event. Fee for IVV credit is $3. For non-IVV members we are

| Directions: Long Branch is
an ocean front town just south of Sandy Hook.
554 Ocean Blvd. Long Branch , NJ (southern end of Long Branch). 7-Eleven Convenience store, 554 Ocean Blvd in the "West End" section of Long Branch. 732-870-1133 From North and South: Garden State Parkway to Exit 105. ** 36 East to 71 South (West Long Branch exit). Do not turn right when 71 continues onto Norwood Ave. Instead, stay straight on Cedar Ave. to the end. Left on Ocean Blvd, 7-11 is on the left. Please park on a side street. From the West: I-195 East which becomes 138 East.
Right onto Route 18 North (Eatontown exit). Exit at 13 B to Route 36 East.
Then follow ** above. |

| Comments: Each participant must register at the start where they will select a walk card and route map. Restrooms are available on the boardwalk during season and at Seven Presidents Park all year. Walkers are reminded to carry water in the summer. Food and drinks are available at the 7-11 store. |
