Trail / Event Description:  12Km "Parks and Palaces" route combines walking trails in parks with lake views and extraordinary residential architecture. The bustling downtown has several places to eat or purchase food. The 10 Km cemetery route skips Echo Lake Park but adds the cemetery. Restrooms available at the start point. Only one event credit if completing both options.  Route diagrams and written directions are used for guidance. There is one event credit but two trails available.

Awards and Fees:    There is no special award for this event.  Fee for IVV credit is $3. For non-IVV members we are requesting a $3 donation to assist in covering our expenses.
Directions:
     Westfield is in Union County , NJ , south of Route I-78 and west of the Garden State Parkway . The start point is 3.5 miles from the parkway. GSP to exit 137. RIGHT (west) on Rt 28 ( North Ave ) for 3.5 miles to Westfield Inn on the left. When you initially enter Westfield , the address numbers will count down and then up again to 435. NOTE: If you are visiting New York City , you can take a train or a bus to within 1 block of this start point. Write for information.

Comments:
      There are restrooms in the start/finish area, in public buildings downtown, and at the 12k walk midpoint. The 10k walk only has restrooms at the start/finish. Participants are asked to carry their own water and supplies along the trail. Food and beverages are available at several places in town.
