Trail / Event Description:

The 20Km walk starts at the library.  Please park on the street and not in the library lot.

The other options start a short drive away.  After you register at the Library, you will take a short drive to the start point.  The 5, 10 and 12k options offer two different start points:  either on the boardwalk, near the Showboat Casino paid parking lot, or free parking on the residential streets of Ventnor.  All casinos offer all day parking. Fees for parking vary according to the casino and the season. Free street parking in Atlantic City is VERY limited.

The walk is on the boardwalk, unless you choose the 12km or 20km route, which qualifies for the AVA Railroad AVA Railroad Heritage Special Event. These routes pass by a brewery which qualifies for the Princeton Area Walkers Winery/Brewery Event.

The 20km route passes the famous Lucy, the Elephant: a National Historic Landmark. Lucy is the only elephant you can go into and come out alive.

Depending on which option you choose, you will walk on the longest boardwalk in the world.  View the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the gambling casinos on the other, the walk passes restaurants, shops, entertainment centers, the Steel Pier and the historic site of the Miss America Pageant: Boardwalk Hall.   You will pass the streets named in the famous board game "Monopoly" as you “walk the boards.” The most southern part of the trail is in Ventnor, NJ at a sculpture studded mansion and ends at the Showboat Casino parking lot.    Pets are not allowed on the boardwalk.   The walk is suitable for wheelchairs and strollers.
