Description: Begin this seaside walk in famous Asbury Park which is in a grand process of redevelopment. Move along to historic Ocean Grove. Only one square mile, Ocean Grove has a large assemblage of authentic Victorian architecture including the Great Auditorium. Note "Tent City" nearby. This is a town which has welcomed visitors, including U.S .Presidents, for over a century. Walk along the boardwalk through the delightful seaside towns of Bradley Beach, Avon-by-the-Sea and Belmar returning along the same route.

From the North: Garden State Parkway South to exit 102. *Continue on Route 66 E and merge onto Asbury Ave which becomes CR-16. Right turn onto Main Street. Go 6 blocks and turn left onto Cookman Ave. Twisted Tree Cafe is one and half blocks on left at 609 Cookman. (There is public parking on Main St before Cookman Ave at the bus/train station). From the South:Garden State Parkway North to Exit 100A. Proceed from * above. From Philadelphia:Route 195 East to Route 18 North. Take exit 10 which is Route 66 Eastand proceed from *above. Train from NYC or N. NJ: North Coast line of NJ Transit takes you into Asbury Park. Schedule found at www.njtransit.com/ Bus from Pt Authority in NYC: Academy Bus Service (www.academybus.com) brings you right into Asbury Park and lets you off at the train station, on the corner of Main and Cookman Avenues, 1 and 1/2 blocks from the start point.
