AT TRAIL HIGHLIGHTS: Among the top ten wealthiest mid-sized towns in the U.S. and home to many who commute the 45 miles to New York City, this coastal town of 27,000 along the Saugatuck River boasts a beautifully situated public library with a cafe, the nearby Levitt Pavilion for the Performing Arts, and the Westport County Playhouse. A 5k loop covers the downtown area, a thriving cultural center with many upscale shops, art galleries and restaurants. A second 5k loop features coastal views of Long Island Sound and the Connecticut 9-11-2001 living memorial in nearby Sherwood Island State Park, the first state park in Connecticut.

AT TRAIL RATING:
1A, for the downtown loop, 1B for the Sherwood Island loop, which is a packed dirt trail (not easy for strollers or wheelchairs).

Follow the left side link, 'Online Start Box', and the instructions provided to sign a waiver and register for this event.
Payments for event credit and directions use Paypal. The directions and insert cards are PDFs that you can download and print as needed.
The POC does not provide event directions or accept alternate payment methods. The entire online process should take less than 10 minutes
for a first time user.
