TRAIL HIGHLIGHTS: A typical New England Green, where the Purtian settlers had their meeting their meeting house, burying ground, and whipping post. A great variety of architectural styles can be be observed in the 120+ historic houses along the walk dating from the 17th through 19th cenuries. The trail takes walkers past the oldest stone house in New England and then down to Guilford Harbor and the town marina. A unique feature of the trail is an option to take an elevator or stairs to cross over the railroad tracks for the commuter and Amtrak intercity trains.

DIRECTIONS:
FROM North: Take Exit 58 off I-95S (Rt. 77/Guilford). At end of exit ramp, take right,
going south on Rt. 77/Church St. FROM South: Take Exit 58 off I-95N (Rt. 77/Guilford).
At end of exit ramp, take left, going south on Rt. 77/Church St. From either exit, go south on
Rt. 77 for about 1/2 mi., and watch for driveway on right to CVS, which is on the corner of Rt.77
(Church St.) and Rt. 1/Boston Post Rd.
