TRAIL HIGHLIGHTS: The 12K walk consists of three connected loops: a 1.0 mi. loop leading down to Bantam Lake, a 2.6 mi. loop including a boardwalk through the scenic marshland around Little Pond, and a 3.9 loop leading from Little Pond through the picturesque village of Litchfield. The trail is rated 1, mostly flat except for one fairly steep road leading from the White Memorial to the village (Gallows Rd.). The 5K walk is entirely within the White Memorial Foundation trail system and is flat, on packed dirt trails and a boardwalk.

START POINT LOCATION & HOURS:
White Memorial Conservation Center Museum, 80 Whitehall Rd., Litchfield, CT. Start Time 10:30am
Water and restrooms available.
DIRECTIONS:
FROM THE EAST: :a) Take I-84W to Exit 39 to Rt. 4W to Rt. 118W to Rt. 202 at the Litchfield green.
b) Continue on Rt. 202W for approx. 2 miles, until you see the sign for the White Memorial on your left.
Turn left here and then take an immediate right for 0.5 miles on White Hall Rd., which brings you to the Museum.
FROM THE SOUTH: Take Rt. 8N to Exit 42 to Rt. 118W to Rt. 202 at the Litchfield green. See b) above.
